On December, 13 in the shopping center “Expobel’’ the Belarusian Children’s Fund started a charity marathon “Magic present for children! ’’. The main aim of the marathon is to fulfill wishes and to create a magic holiday for orphan children from Belarusian family-type children’s homes.
Each orphan child, who has found a family in a family-type children house, wrote a letter to Ded Moroz asking for a desired New Year present.
The Belarusian Children’s Fund performed the role of Ded Moroz and tried to make children’s dreams come true. And therefore during the marathon we are gathering individual presents for orphan children.
Children of Bogoslavietz Valentina Alexeevna and Anton Vasil’evich children’s home (Osipovichi, Mogilev region) were the first to get presents. Children became the heroes of the marathon “Magic presents for children!”: they watched a concert, met artists, sponsors, and of course they got presents. Board games, a ball, sleigh, toys, trendy clothes by Kira Plastinina-that were children’s wishes which came true.
And thanks to the marathon the greatest dream of Valya Svirditskaya was made a reality.
Valya is 12 years old. She has been studying at the Republican Choreographic College for 2 years and her ambition is to become a ballerina. She makes great efforts to reach perfection in dancing. Valya’s New Year dream is a new, beautiful, professional pair of pointe-shoes. It was the present she got on the New Year’s Eve. A ballerina, teacher and ballet-master Marina Pankova became a fairy godmother who made girl’s dream come true. And now the new pair of pointe shoes is a lucky charm on her long way to success.
We express our gratitude to the people who supported our charity marathon “Magic present for children”.
Our marathon continues on December, 20 and 21 in the shopping center “Expobel” from 13.00 to 16.00. But together we can create happiness for children hard destiny.
