The Republican Creative and Health-Improving Seminar “Young Talents” for talented orphan children is over. 17 young talented artists took part in it.

It is general knowledge that it is much more difficult for orphan children to develop their talents. That is why eight days of the festival were full of exciting and necessary studies.

The masterclasses were held by Sumarev Vasiliy Fedorovich, artist, painter, teacher, member of the Artists’ Union of the Republic of Belarus, the Honoured Art Worker of the Republic of Belarus, laureate of different prizes; Galina Hinka-Janushkevich, artist, teacher of the Republican Gymnasium-College of Arts named after I.O. Ahremchik; Olga Demkina, young artist. An interesting meeting with the staff of the magazine “Vyaselka” was held. The artist of the editorial staff Vladimir Zhuk organized the art school for young artists.

Vladimir Urodnich, the dean of the Arts Department, conducted the excursion to the Academy of Sciences. Ludmila Nikolaevna Shahova, the head of the Republican Gymnasium-College of Arts named after I.O. Ahremchik, conducted the excursion to this establishment. Memorable excursions were made to the National Arts Museum, the National Library of Belarus, “Minsk-Arena” complex. Minsk sightseeing tour was also conducted.

Free lunch which turned out a real holiday for the children was organized in the “McDonald’s” restaurant. The doctors of the Republican Centre of Rehabilitation and Balneotherapy examined the children’s health.

At the end of the seminar a state reception took place in the Belarusian Children’s Fund. All children received certificates of the participants of the seminar from the Belarusian Children’s Fund; they also received presents and CDs with photos.

The exhibition of remarkable works by children was opened in the office of the Belarusian Children’s Fund.

We intend to continue supporting of talented orphan children, to give them chance to achieve their creative dreams. It can become possible only if many people combine their efforts.
