Let’s Give Holiday to Children

In 1988 the Belarusian Children’s Fund became the first organization to draw public attention to the International Day of Children’s Protection (celebrated on June 1).

The program “Let’s Give Holiday to Children” is devoted to this day and is traditionally held on June 1 at the exhibition centre “BelExpo”.

The Fund organizes concerts, festive programs, exhibitions and creative meetings to mark the occasion. The oblast departments of the Belarusian Children’s Fund also organize various events and activities in their respective regions.

Apart from that, the Fund awards “A Friend of Children” prizes named after Tusnolobova-Marchenko on June 1. The honorary award is given to adults who care about children and contribute to improvement of children’s health and social position, development of their talents and creative abilities.
